Why hasn't my application been immediately approved?

The credit unions we work with are committed to following regulatory guidelines. As many of your details as possible will be verified when you apply, but some areas may need to be reviewed further by one of the team. These could include confirming you meet their membership criteria, verifying your identity and checking where the money you will deposit is coming from, in line with their anti-money laundering commitments. Most savings applications are approved within 3 working days, which are Monday – Friday (excluding bank holidays).
